Prisoners of Potential War: The Captive Class

Many in our nation, that figment of collective agreement on political maps, have problems. Some of us may see ourselves more affected than others: Some complain about high taxes, others of not even finding a job, and others of having no way to leave.   In this nation, and quite probably many others, we have a special class of people, who while getting media attention on occasion (especially Fox News who blames them for most of society’s ills), are not explained in a sense that they can be identified by most. This class is the class of prisoners of the potential wars.

Far too many are born into abject poverty, not for lack of trying for better on their part or on their parent’s, but by lack of finding a way out.  Many come from homes of those who for generations were far too exploited to rise in the ranks, and far too distracted by their own turmoil to realize that they are under a collective caste system’s oppression, which relies on keeping them down to pacify it’s dwindling middle class. It does this in many ways, when a grown man or woman is bringing back part time minimum wage paychecks, and then spending it in a collective living situation (a dormitory type place that’s like a hotel with shared restroom facilities) and on various distractions to be able to socialize and dull the apparent hopelessness of their situation, the system is fed. As is the hotel/housing system’s owner, who likely owns quite a few of those minimum wage paying companies these people work in, knowing they can not break free with the exorbitant rent costs. Yes, these worker’s paychecks are taxed, to pay for the medicare, food stamps, and other such things they have ‘no way’ of affording to pay themselves on the salaries they are given. Yet those who can afford to own a home down the street happily buy those burgers and other ‘luxury’ goods from people who milk the money right out of town, and show contempt to these miserly workers who lack the basic funds and licensing to get ahead in life due to budgetary constraints.

These people, the abjectly impoverished, the declining middle class, these are all unknowingly the prisoners of potential war.
In their despair, they take the hand outs, and toil away or try to find a way to get a fair wage, some would take any job at all. The hand outs, stolen from their own pockets, and the pockets of those middle class members who fear them for what crimes they may commit out of their misery and maltreatment, are used to swindle them of their plans and dreams. Condemn them to a life ordered by money, ordered by advertisements, ordered by wealthy men and women in suits who most likely never set foot in the properties they profit from.  This money is meant to buy their silence, to stifle the revolutionary spirit. The money is to prevent a potential civil war.

A New Constitution

Now here’s a suggestion, when the time comes…

My version of ‘Constitution”

1.The micronations shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, and/or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; and/or abridging the freedom of speech, and/or of the press; and/or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition their micronation for a redress of grievances. A micronation may however, have a mutual understanding amongst all members that they are of a certain religion or atheist/agnostic quality, and prevent immigration into their micronation from those of other religions. This is to ensure no one world religion can control us all. A micronation may also make unwritten law by egalitarian agreement on nights of assembly that certain forms of media are not to be used, and use cultural/societal methods to enforce, not imprisonment and/or fines.

2.As all citizens form the Militia, being necessary to the security of a truly free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed, nor shall those wishing to be pacifists be forced to fight in times of war. Remember that if you do not fight, there is no guarantee others shall, and to prevent martial law and the fascism it brings, it is suggested to remember that we defend our own liberties, and each others. In case of attempts of external or internal invasion, it shall be up to the micronations to be prepared for battle and mutual defense- should even one micronation be lost, regardless of how different their sun-settable laws may be, we open the entirety up to harm’s way. The macro nation is built upon the foundations of the egalitarian principles of mutualism, liberty, and understanding that despite our smaller differences, we must work together under our shared desire for freedom, to prevent war between us, mutual defence in times of war, and to defend our mutual liberties.
Micronations may decide that an unofficial, or multiple unofficial general types be voted from each territory and be in contact with those from their neighboring micronations, to create a more efficient distribution of methods each region is using, and organization, should the need arise.

3.The right of the people to be secure in their persons, places of residence, papers, and effects, against searches and seizures, shall not be violated, with the exception of the place of residences that may be searched if a warrant by the community’s majority is obtained, in regards to suspected kidnapping or for evidence of rape and/or murder and/or child abuse. This is to guarantee privacy and liberty, as well as protect justice.

4.No person shall be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against them self, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, unless upon death there is no named heir, or the person has more than 15% of total micronation in their possession. If any one person accumulates more than 15% of land of any micronation, or the equivalency of 20% of a total micronation (AS DEFINED IN CLAUSE 13) distributed across the entire set of micronations and/or the world it is the right of the owner to say which portions they will be giving up, and if said person does not limit it, then it shall be for the people to decide- this is to prevent serfdoms from arising due to land rights. If one should be so industrious as to gather that much land, it is necessary to cap it to allow room for others to make progress as well. A person may only be considered a citizen of two micronations at a time, and must spend at least two thirds a year in said micronation to qualify to vote on it’s laws. This is to prevent people from claiming citizenship of many micronations to influence the laws, while not residing and thus being affected by said laws.

5.In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by all micronation members who wish to take part, from the region if the crime was between members of the region, or from the members that wish to take part from the involved micronations, and the direct border micronations of the micronations that the crime was committed, should it be between different micronations. The accused, whom shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against them to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in their  favor, and to have the laws of the micronation territory where the crime was committed at their access. If a law should be voted into place that would render any of the micronation’s constituents a criminal at the instance of passing, said constituents have 31 days to comply before they can be considered in violation of said law.

6.Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor unbalanced cruel punishments inflicted. Should said person be convicted, said person has the right to not choose to follow the micronation imposed law- but shall then be declared an outlaw- non-citizen, and has no defence and shall not be counted as a person except in regards to the anti-slavery clause of the 9th amendment, and the sexual rights guaranteed by clause 7 . This will enable vigilante justice by the victims family.

7. All people have the right to control their own sex life- any non-consensual act qualifies as a serious breach of the law and if found guilty, the victim or victim’s friends and/or family should the victim be dead shall decide the balanced penalty. This can include use of statistics to prevent the perpetrator from ever being physically capable of committing the crime again. In any nations with draconian enough taste, this should prevent rape/child molesting forever.

8. All agencies a micronation decides to have, that being anything from something similar to the FDA, School systems, Prisons, and/or their militia branch, is to be done a’la carte- those who support the cause may choose to contribute to them, and those who do not, may choose not to contribute. No regulatory agency can actually legally prevent people from accessing new medicines/foods, it may merely warn against them. This is to prevent pharmaceutical companies from condemning the earth by labeling natural cures unusable to try and claim the land/monopolize business, and for other shady agendas some have seen in mercury being approved, but marijuana not, in regards to medicine. If a micronation begins to fall to excessive frugality and/or greed of it’s populous, let them reconsider if they should have opted or offered more support to an agency, or create a similar one more suited to their needs.The cost of freedom is responsibility- it is in excessive domestication that people are enslaved, and this is a safe guard against it.

9. All citizens shall enjoy the right to property- and people are never to be considered property. Copy right laws shall defend intellectual property unless it is used in satire,or cited with due credit in research, and shall defend the item/patent for as long as the inventor shall live, except in the case of medicine, in which case it shall be defended for the first 10 years, or the person has made enough to be considered in the top 20% in regards to wealth in the micronation. No corporations are to exist, for their very nature is one of soulless predation. Sole proprietorship, co-ops, and parnerships shall be allowed, but shall not be considered people, though the heads of said organizations shall be held responsible for complying with their laws.

10. All citizens shall have the right to life- from the moment they leave the womb (or prior if a micronation chooses so), they may however surrender this right in the case of murder (provided the micronation of said crime allows for the death penalty in this case), or in mutual predeclared and witnessed fights to the death (Some regions may wish to have this as a viable option to keep poverty/crime levels low, or for military tactic advancement), or if another citizen is exercising self defense against home invasion, kidnap, rape, or murder.

11. In regards to economy, each micronation shall have the right to print their own cash- but it is suggested that it be based off of tangible goods such as gold, land, crops, and minerals, or time for community service being the base of origin. Each nation may post at it’s boundaries the currencies of other nations it takes as well as it’s own- money is a system of value, and in fiat currency it stands for what faith we have in said dollar. In this way should one nation be devaluing it’s dollar by printing more than it can back, the nations with a dollar of value may decline acceptance of that dollar, and offer barter solutions should they feel it right. Trading posts for said purpose are suggested, as is economic education with a strong anti-monopoly bias. There are to be no mortgages or other loans allowed for land and homes- an agreement of goods or services may be worked out with the contracters, but no banking mortgages allowed. This is to prevent widespread foreclosures, and banking monopolies. Loans from organizations and banks are highly suspect, and it is suggested they be avoided all together, as they cause exorbitant inflation. It is also suggested that micronations have currency exchange posts that keep in stock and in touch with the currency of neighboring nations, so that those wishing to travel abroad may have the currency prior to travel.

12.The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

13.All other laws a micronation wishes to abide by, is to be done by direct democracy in micronation regions (*A micronation being no larger than 100 square miles, with their laws legible and posted facing the roadways leading into their micronation). Their laws may be a maximum of 100 so that all citizens may know all the laws, all members of a micronation are entitled to vote, and may not migrate to another micronation without said micronations agreement. All laws are to be sunsettable at the end of the year- the laws that get sunsetted are to be the slots available for new laws. The day prior to the annual election each citizen may post one law suggestion on the community bulletin board along with their name. The approved laws of the previous year are also to be posted on the bulletin board as micronation laws, and shall not be counted against the one citizen, one law suggestion, as previously mentioned. On the election day each citizen is given 100 votes with their name to distribute as they chose amongst the available laws, for or against the laws posted.Voters are entitled to distribute their 100 votes throughout the day, but may not change them once posted. These shall be posted in plain view next to the law so that election fraud is near impossible, and so that citizens may choose with greater care which laws to vote for and/or against by visible tally. Whichever 100 laws have the highest total tally by midnight, shall be put into effect the following day. The election results shall be left on the board untouched for a week, then photographed and recorded, in case of alleged vote tampering. If our vote has been tampered with, you have 1 week to petition to have it recounted. Each micronation citizen shall have the right to have the day of voting off with no threat of job loss. Transparent voting is necessary, as many nations have been accused of rigging elections, and transparent voting is the only near surefire way to guarantee that the votes are true. Also, note that it is the laws to be voted on, for politicians across the world have proven that they do not always do as they say and as the people wish, and to have people vote on the laws should ensure a more responsible, involved citizen body. All micronations must also allow through way to those from different micronations- they may pass through the territory but not settle unless the majority of members of the micronation choose to allow. This is to prevent people from becoming imprisoned in regions that may turn sour, and to prevent unwanted neighbors from settling into communities to try and change their laws by mass migration.

14. There shall be no alterations or additions to the base laws of the macronation- for as the United States government proved, to allow an opening is far too risky.

Concerned Citizen or Crackpot Conspiracy Theorist? How What You Do Helps Draw The Line

One of the biggest hindrances to the conspiracy theorist community is an issue of  ‘image’.  Many people consider conspiracy theorists to be ill or uneducated, anti-social crackpots. When a Myspace, or other social media networking site, is constantly circulating what seems to be paranoid, not researched, unchecked re-posts, it’s easy to see why such an image is painted. Unfortunately, just because an article seems paranoid, it doesn’t mean there aren’t any elitist organizations actually out to do some damage, and maintain their positions. With that in mind, and out of sincere care, here are a few tips for any seriously concerned citizen or dissident in ensuring they are assisting the cause, not hindering it further.

The first and number one thing to make sure you do, is fact check.
It may seem silly, and blatantly obvious to some, but many don’t fact check what they read before they re-post. This is one of the major ways a disinformation agent can take advantage of an active vocal citizen, and reduce them to uneducated crack pot standing in the eyes of the masses. Worse still, is when a non-fact checked piece is distributed down the grape vine, it makes any and all theorists who re-post look as gullible as sheep- not the most efficient position for being taken seriously as a group. When it comes to fact checking, especially of quotes from alleged elitists, it’s important to manage to see the actual document first hand. For pork barreled laws, looking up the HR bill number, on Google or on THOMAS (Information on Current Congress bills, and the Current Congress’s passed legislation, http://thomas.loc.gov/) should yield legitimate results, be forewarned, at times even THOMAS is fallible, like I just noticed trying to pull up the full text of hr 4872, which while showing on other sites in full format, isn’t showing at the time of this writing (The final, passed version, that is). Upon locating the bill in question, you can use the “find” (ctrl+f)  option, or if it’s in .pdf form, the page number, to check the text. Should you notice a re-post in circulation that is a blatant distortion, it’s in your best interests to hunt down the facts and present them to the re-poster in a courteous manner, to prevent them from spreading false information.

A related danger to credibility, that is closely tied with the aforementioned paragraph, is the issue of stating opinions or likelihoods, as fact. Earlier this week I received a bulletin via Myspace that stated the recently passed health care bill, hr 3590, had opened the gate way for mandatory RFID chipping of any American citizen. This shocking threat to freedom, was fortunately in this case just a false alarm, based on a very liberal interpretation of a portion of the related bill hr 4782’s text, on page 1013. In the bill, they plan to make a “National Medical Device Registry”, which would require am assortment of implantable devices, such as pace makers, and any ” class II device that is implantable, life-supporting, or life-sustaining.”. The peculiar phrasing of Implantable, OR life-supporting, OR life sustaining, made people go up in arms, as apparently according to the Associated Press , a veri-chip implantable chip, classifies as such a device, under class 3, which is also covered by the bill. The issue is, just because this registry could be used down the road for nefarious purposes (I’d be a bit more concerned with South Carolina’s Subversive Registration act being used in conjunction to silently do away with dissidents, myself), doesn’t mean in the slightest that they paved the way for MANDATORY implants.  Many bloggers online have phrased this in such a way as to cause a multitude of re-posts, making a situation like the boy who cried wolf become a more distinct danger, in my opinion. Due to this blowing out of proportion, if the moral of the fable is correct, many readers in the future will be more likely to dismiss any future headline of roughly the same text as mere conservative spin, which would be exactly what I would want if  I intended to get shady laws passed. To make sure that the speculation portion of texts is clearly stated as such, and that the title is not a tabloid type, can assist making a person appear more as an actual concerned citizen, and less like a conspiracy theorist crack pot.

Another way to assist in credibility gaining with your target audience, should you be truly concerned, is to actually network with people, both online, and in your communities. Many people that I’ve seen online seem to like the idea of forwarding blog posts as bulletins, and that is the extent of their community actions. Re-posting a very informative blog or article entry is a decent way to spread information, but chances are you’ll only be reaching those who already are on the same page, and if none of you are fact checking, some serious issues can befall you, interfering with what you’re trying to accomplish. If you’re trying to further awareness to the public, the best way to do so is to actually network with the public, preferably from a place of some authority. If you start an online organization, that actually generates information through first hand reporting, organizes protests, or is otherwise involved and prominent, you’ll have a lot more credibility than if you’re a single person out there, talking to a fire wall. If your neighbors see that you attend town hall meetings, and bring relevant and legitimate research and resources to the table, you’ll fare far better in trying to get your point across, than if all you do is is re-post, never talking to a living soul on the phone or in person. The general consensus I have gotten from conversing with people about the topic, is a conspiracy theorist is a weirdo paranoid loner, with pale skin and no friends. A concerned citizen, is someone that tries to watch out for their community, and their fellow country people, being capable of putting aside petty differences, and bringing real research and ideas to the table. A concerned citizen can carry some clout in their communities, online and off. How do you think people see you?

500 Words Time Test

Today I’ve been hunting, safari style, through the various websites of potential clientele, and it’s been confusing. Not only am I still relatively clueless about what will wind up being a good way to get some pay, but I have little in the way of actual knowledge of how long article writing will take. Will these freelance sites that offer only a dollar for a 500 word essay be worth it? How long does it take to write one? With that in mind, I opened my WordPress blog, and began the count.

So at this point in the article about a minute has passed, and the word count is registering at approximately 103. I am intrigued, as the time it takes to type and find the words that flow freely from my phalanges is swiftly passing, assisting me in my self assessment of whether these article offerings will be worth it, or if the article submission and see who pays for usage sites, will offer a better bounty.  I am pretty broke right now.  This feeling of necessity only strengthens the need for me to get my writing practice perfected, as much as a novice freelancer can humanly handle. Whether I will wind up freelancing predominantly in writing or in another artistic venture remains to be seen, but one thing is for certain- I need to try.

Trying to find a local job hasn’t been so easy for me. I don’t know if it’s the sea green hair (It’s the sea green hair), or my lack of desire for drone drudgery, but something holds me back from landing a job locally. Fortunately in the realm of freelancing, my personal aesthetic preferences will not weigh against me in a potential client’s decision, in this arena of potential job offerings, ability weighs stronger than the author’s physical appearance, a blessing for the more boldly attired of us.

Truth is, I’ve never been too fond of retail work, finding no satisfaction in repeatedly ringing out customers on a register with no creative outlet available. Assignments are one thing, a generalized direction is stated, and than it’s up to the author to bring the message to life. This is the fun part, breathing life in the form of eloquence and an almost audible aesthetic of the language, building a body first out of a skeletal outline of the topic’s main points, and plumping up the flesh with words to give the body of typed text muscle. Both during and after the rough sculpting of the body, the editing process occurs, choosing which words will make the article like an infant, having smooth skin, an easy read, all the main points detectable with a brief scan, and delectable with a more thorough read.

It’s that chance, to use words like watercolors to paint an image in the mind of the reader, that holds the main appeal. Whether the aim is a persuasive propaganda piece, or an intelligible informative article, it remains a necessity, for more than just money’s sake, to get the writing to remain in the reader’s mind, and when the day is done, to draw them back for more tomorrow.

Fashion Fascists vs. Free Spirits: What Will You Wear?

As a fashion designer, artist, and writer in training, I was recently inspired to write this blog after two different types of research crossed paths, in a most unwholesome way.  The first tendril of annoyance wouldn’t have been nearly as prominent a factor in my current agitated state, had it not been so entwined with the second tendril.  It was that second tendril that spawned this blog and it’s name, but the first one must be understood as well, for the well being of artists, and free thinkers everywhere!

A few nights ago, as I was researching for my next batch of designs by scoping out the sales percentages of different key words in the completed listing section of the eBay search engine, I had a revelation: even though those of us who are not normally fashion drones, can be severely financially hindered by fashionista magazine dictation. Apparently only those who are avid reader’s of magazines like Vanity Fair got the memo that ‘Punk’ , a catch all title encompassing many of the more eccentric and creative of costumes, is anti-vogue.  With more than 22,000 listings- and a less than 16% sales per page in the high price sales end, the term “Punk”, appears to be a current sales kill phrase this season.  Most of the eBay crowd, myself included, that specialize in fashion reselling or design, could apparently increase our sales odds by switching the item heading description of the more feminine of the ‘punk’ garments with the heading  ‘Psychobilly’, a less socially known term with less competitors (we are talking620 listings as off three nights ago!), and 50% sales per page of high end items! ‘ Psychobilly’, like another higher success rate term, ‘steam punk’, are fringe culture terms. As relatively unknown terms, the mainstream fashion magazines haven’t learned of them, so they have not yet placed them on their fashion don’t list (which would be amusing- psychobilly is a more colorful, flamboyant version on the classic fitting 1950s and 1940s bombshell style, and steam punk refers to a modernized version of the very elegant Victorian garb). With the fading of Avril Lavigne and Paramore (psuedo-pop-punk music, at best), the punk clothing style also faces certain death by the words of the propaganda priests. If fashion runways, and by proxy, fashion magazines, were pitching honest, more inclusive methods to finding your personal style, this article would not be. People would dress as they want without fear of being out of style, opening many markets and businesses based here in the states to cater to various personality’s desires. Alas, this is not so. Instead this dark omen of eBay sales success rates (or lack thereof), fused tentacles  with another cultural phenomenon that hinders this nations artistic expression and economic growth.

The second tendril of agitation was spawned by that aforementioned very conformist and uneconomical pattern of thought- the assumption of these Milanese and Parisian designers that those of wealth can’t think for themselves what to wear- that the status and prestige of their labels will result in them blindly echoing the designer’s tastes, and by extension and lack of creativity, the magazines targeting the middle class will preach of their fashion superiority. It was joked about in “The Devil Wear’s Prada” and “Zoolander” alike, the way these runways preach styles to the wealthy, and a few months after a debut in Vogue, the less known designers sell knock offs of the style, and magazines like Cosmo carry the colors (Orange is the new black, or some such thing), so to speak. You’re supposed to combine these fascist fads with allegedly ‘classic pieces’, such as blue jeans (skinny jeans one month, capris the next, no real attention paid to what is actually flattering on most bodies- these designers make their style for size zeros…) , and white button up blouses (Pointed collars are in this month, but flouncy ones are so passe… til tomorrow). Many things that were considered in style one month are said to be out of style the next- and the very retail employees keeping the knock off sale stores in business, though making only 7.50 an hour, are expected to recycle their funds to keep up, while still somehow getting money for food and the bills. Never mind the CEO’s of these same companies getting most likely WELL over $75 an hour, pumped into distant gated communities, never to see the suburban workers economy again, make their bonuses using Keynesian economics- see how little they will work for, raise your own bonuses as such, make it increasingly difficult for their workers to keep up, and have any money for leisure.

These two tiers of totalitarian trends trouble me.  Not that I don’t understand the appeal that blue jeans and tee shirts have to some- if you look relatively the same, the class barriers deteriorate subliminally, you look more like one of the group regardless of where you are on the economic scale, and you don’t need to be concerned with how your neighbors judge you for dressing, plus it makes dressing in the morning easier- I imagine. The issue for me that arises, can be summed up in the timeless axiom “dress to express”. The very evolution of fashion began from people wanting to set themselves apart, showcase their expertise. True, there are band and product shirts explaining what people are fans of commercially, but rare is it to see a person who regularly dresses in a style outside of an approved, for cookie cut culture, costume. While the rampant changes in what the fashionista dictators preach is explainable by consumer and corporate competitive spirit, and economical concerns, they simply don’t leave room for real creativity in dressing. With their do’s and don’ts lists in dressing, they bully people away from flattering and sentimental fashions, in favor of their flavor of the month. A quick 100K for them, and anxiety for you.

Free spirits too, feel a bit of the stress. Whether it’s those that prefer the romanticism of neo-Victorian and neo-Edwarian ensembles, the gypsy bohemian style’s mysterious allure, or the sleek and shiny cyber suit’s avant garde glory, chances are the fearful eyes of the insecure will set into motion a petty comment or callous remark. This can be even more troubling, as the low paying jobs most retail stores offer have dress codes that condemn creativity, in the guise of professionalism, including to my dismay, craft and fabric stores! Now, if I’m not mistaken, people’s problem solving ability is related to their creativity. That creativity is built and sustained by rewarding- not condemning, creative acts and creative combinations, as well as by having many reference points to call upon. That’s something you just don’t get if everyone dresses the same. This is culturally damaging on many levels – it hinders finding like minded people via visual cues, takes the power to steer society out of the masses hands (no longer do they have creative input, they only have more of the same to choose from, altering the markets, and making China have an unfair advantage due to labor costs), and, sad to say, actually psychologically increases the likelihood of people committing immoral acts, as determined by a study of conformity performed by Philip Zimbardo, a professor of NY State. With all these detrimental factors to society, is it really worth it to dress the part these oligarch’s dictate?

Many people occasionally go out on a limb and really dress how they feel, I applaud them for doing their part. However, many who don’t dress to self express might find benefit in trying it sometimes. Of those who don’t dress to their true preferences that I’ve spoken to on the matter, I’ve heard reasons such as “they will get to know who I am by talking to me, not by looking at me”, “It’s comfortable”, and the hinted at “I don’t want to be judged”. Each of these claims carry a certain level of validity, but those who hold these views might want to look over this paragraph carefully. Those who stay in character who hold up fort in the,”they will get to know me by talking to me” camp, have an especially sound set of viewpoints, that they will be judged on their words and interests rather than outer appearance, and that clothing and how you dress should never be all that you are.  To them I’d like to point out that by never giving any visual indicators to set you apart,  many in depth conversations about topics that really interest them, they might be missing out on. I’d also like to pose to them this rhetorical question, how many conversations that have nothing to do with anything they find really interesting have they had, because they looked, like the topics that were brought up… generic? To those who say the clothing is comfortable, know that on the physical level, many other styles are just as comfortable. If they mean it’s more socially comfortable, are they really living their lives, or one that’s been prepackaged for them by carnivorous corporations? To those that are concerned about being judged by clothing, I ask, how often do they judge others by clothing, and how do they judge them? If this concern is so strong, are they secure in where they stand in their own circle of friends, or do they fear they’d be abandoned for dressing differently? If the answer to that is yes, maybe being true to themselves would help them get real loyal friends. I know some of this might come off as a bit harsh, but honestly I do have concerns. It’s not just about art, and getting networking based off of interests to be easier to do when shopping at the grocery store, it’s not just about all the jobs that could be produced if American’s were to take up the mantle of the world”s most creative nation (to bring the jobs local for publishing enough magazines with varied view points, helping writers, small businesses or all branches of the clothing production, and photographers, as well as make up artists, co-op malls that pay far better than their corporate counterparts), it’s about living life the way you want to, and not being afraid of what others think about you. It’s about alleviating anxiety.

So be a fascist fashion follower, or be a free spirit?  The choice is yours.
